The main page shows the actually opened file, and the progress of the playback.
You can change the volume by pressing the joystick up or down.
Fast forward and rewind: press the joystick left or right while holding down the ABC (Nokia 7650) /
(other Nokia phones) / SHIFT (SX-1) button.
Press the joystick right to see the list of mp3 files on the phone.
List of AAC/MP4 files
All files on the phone are listed here. However, the search for AAC/MP4 files may take some time, the process is indicated by the rotating circle at the bottom of the screen.
Select a file to start playing it.
Settings
Playlist repeating: repeat the playlist or stop when all files have been already played.
After a track ends: songs come in a random order after each other, or normally, or the playback stops.
Bluetooth headset: switch this on and restart the program if you do not hear anything using a Bluetooth headset.
Screen always on: the screen will not go to standby when playing.
ID3 charset: you can display speacial accented characters in the title/author of MP4 files. For Latin-1, use ISO 8859-1; the list of common character sets are listed in help.
Importing a skin
All JPG files on the phone are listed here. However, the search for the files may take some time, the process is indicated by the rotating circle at the bottom of the screen.
Select a file by pressing the joystick to use it as a skin. It will take some time to import it. Press Back to save the selected skin.
Only JPG files with the .jpg extension may be used.
Switch the setting in "Menu > Tools > Manager > Options > Settings > Software installation" to "On".
For Nokia 7650 and Siemens SX-1, Bluetooth headsets are not supported. For Nokia 6600 phones, you have to switch
Bluetooth headset on in Settings.
After starting iTunes, right click on an item in the library, and select "Convert selection to AAC".
If an audio CD is inserted, the contents will be displayed automatically, and the same method can be
used to convert the tracks to AAC.
WAP: If you have WAP access, the easiest way to install the program is to go to wap.viking.tm and download it there.
PcSuite: download the SIS file, then install it using PcSuite (this requires that you connect your phone to your PC
with infrared, Bluetooth or a cable). PcSuite is loacted on the CD-ROM shipped with your phone, or can be downloaded
at the manufacturers' homepage (e.g. www.nokia.com).
If you are unable to save the SIS file, click on it with the right mouse button, a select "Save target as..."
If you receive "Mp3Player: memory full. Close some applications and try again" error message after importing
a skin, reinstall the program (this will restore the original skin).
After a successful purchase you will receive the 5-digit registration code. Download and install the
trial version of the program. After starting it, press 'Register', then enter the registration code.
If the registration fails, or you haven't received the registration code in 24 hours, contact us.
Newer versions use the same registration code.
Start Nokia Audio Manager (start PcSuite, then select Transfer Music). Select CD Player,
then click on Save tracks. Unfortunately, if you want to add the name of the author and the
title to the tracks, you have to enter them manually first.
In Media Library, select your CD drive. Set Encoding Format to MP4 AAC in preferences by
clicking on Rip/CD ripping preferences. Start ripping by clicking on Rip/Rip all tracks or
on Rip/Rip selected track.
Author/title information will be automatically added to the files if you are connected to
the Internet.
You need to plug in the earphone about half way, wait a second and then plug it in the rest (
usually this works, but not for all phones!)
Use Menu/Manager or Menu/Tools/Manager to remove the program.
If it does not work, then you should install a file manager utility (we recommend FExplorer),
and remove the program installation folder in \system\apps.
Install the new program without removing the old one (the program should not run on the phone).
If you are asked to enter the registration code, enter the old code (but usually the program remembers the code).
Future versions are free.
