Audio Player 1.31

Audio Player is an MPEG Audio Layer 3 player for Psion 5mx, Revo, Revo Plus, Mako, Series 7, netBook and Ericsson MC218. Supports high bitrate files (192kbps, 44.1kHz) also on Psion 5mx and Revo.

Main window

Exit exits Audio Player
Preferences opens the preferences dialog (see below)
Progressbar shows the progress of the playback; clicking on it start the playback at the specified position
Volume shows the current volume; with the 2 buttons the volume may be increased or decreased; clicking on the speaker icon mute the playback
MP3 properties shows bitrate (in kbps), frequency (in kHz) and channel information (mono/stereo). When ABR or VBR files are opened, an average bitrate is shown
Track time shows the track time according to the current playback position
Artist & title show the artist and title (if an ID3v1 tag is present), or the name of the file (without the extension), with the length of the soundtrack
Open opens a file and starts playing
Play starts playing the opened file, or resumes a paused playback
Pause pauses the playback
Stop stops the playback and rewinds it to the beginning
Next starts playing the next track in the playlist (if available)
Playlist shows the window of the playlist
Equalizer shows the window of the equalizer (not available yet)

Playlist

Close closes the window, but does not exit Audio Player
List of files shows the files (the filenames without the extension), may be sorted (see Preferences below)
Play starts playing the selected item
Add adds the file selected in the file dialog
Remove removes the selected file from the list
Add dir adds all the files in the directory selected in a file browse dialog
Clear remove all files from the list
Up & down move the selected file in the list (not available when list is sorted)
Repeat when all files in the list have been played, starts playing them again
Shuffle the files come randomly after each other, but does not repeat a track more than once. If all tracks have been played, it stops (if Repeat is active, it starts playing them again).

Preferences

General

Always on top if selected, the Audio Player are always in front of the other windows, it is always visible. Keys are sent to the application below, only shortcuts are captured.
Buffer size the size of the playback buffer in msec, increase if you encounter gaps in playback when you start or and another application. Try to set the lowest value without gaps, because increasing the buffer size also has draw effects. This number cannot be set while playing.

Playlist

Sort files if selected, the files are sorted always in the list, and moving tracks up or down is not possible.
Remove duplicates if selected, files that exist in the playlist will not be added to the list.
Show track being played if selected, the track being played is always visible in the list.

Skins

The selected skin is highlighted in the list. Select one and press “OK” to activate it.

You can import skins by downloading it to your handheld. Press the ‘Import’ button, and go to the file you have downloaded. Skins are available at out homepage, or do one for yourself.

Imported skins could also be removed by pressing the ‘Remove’ button.

Shortcuts

Variable shortcuts can be added. Leave blank to deactivate it. Press the Del button to clear a shortcut.
